Historic Building
Götzen Tower
The southwestern city-wall tower on the Neckar - named after Götz von Berlichingen, who was held prisoner in Heilbronn.
The Götzen Tower guards the southwest corner of Heilbronn's former city wall on the Neckar. It owes its name to Götz von Berlichingen, the knight with the iron hand, who was held in Heilbronn custody in 1519. Today the tower is a popular stop along the Neckar riverside path.
