Käthchen House
The house where Käthchen of Heilbronn is said to have lived - Heinrich von Kleist's romantic heroine and the city's nickname.
The Käthchen House on the market square is a picturesque patrician townhouse with an oriel window and Renaissance ornament. Käthchen - the title character of Heinrich von Kleist's 1810 play - is said to have lived here, and to this day Heilbronn carries the affectionate nickname 'Käthchenstadt' (Käthchen's city) because of her.
